Days 1-2

Fly to Antananarivo and transfer to your hotel.

Day 3

Drive to Andasibe, stopping en route in Tsarasoatra Bird Sanctuary, which contains over 70 species of birds, and Marozevo Park to observe endemic butterfly and frog. Continue to your forest lodge for a sunset walk to spot nocturnal lemur.

Day 4

Walk through the Mantadia Natural Reserve, a lush rainforest and home to 60 groups of lemur. Look for the Indri Indri, the largest of all lemurs. Photograph these friendly forest-dwellers, and then cruise on the Canal des Pangalanes, observing traditional villages and local fishermen along the way.

Day 5

After breakfast, visit the Palmarium for an up-close look at the resident lemur population. Lemurs are found only on the island of Madagascar and some of the smaller surrounding islands. They have long tails used for communication with each other and balance when leaping between trees.

Day 6

After a boat ride to Tamatave, connect with your flight to Antananarivo.

Day 7

Tucked away in a 988-acre reserve, the Anjajavy peninsula is a paradise for nature and sea lovers. Anjajavy Reserve is a spectacular example of dry deciduous forest and contains Coquerel's sifaka, mouse lemur, the rare Madagascar fish eagle and chameleon. Days 8-9

Spend your days relaxing at the hotel, and be sure to have a cup of coffee or tea at the Oasis to observe lemur traveling through on their daily feeding route. Explore the nearby forest, visit the caves, watch for lemur, enjoy a cruise, or simply relax.

Day 10

This morning transfer to the airport to board your departure flight to Antananarivo and continue on your journey.
