Day 1: Say Bonjour to the Côte d’Azur
An included transfer whisks you off along the Côte d’Azur to glamorous Monte-Carlo and the Fairmont Monte Carlo, centrally located in the glittering capital of Monaco. Your Monte Carlo cruise begins at the Fairmont Monte Carlo at 6:00 PM. Meet your fellow travelers at our welcome reception and dinner this evening.

Day 2: The ramparts of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
Journey to medieval Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and discover this distinctive town, set atop a hill in the French countryside. Return to Monte-Carlo and enjoy leisure time to explore this favorite haunt of the rich and famous.

• Day 3: Riches of the Rothschilds
The opulent mansion and seven magnificent gardens of Baroness Ephrussi de Rothschild await your exploration in charming Cap Ferrat today. The gardens were inspired by her many travels and their varied fragrances will delight you. From Monte Carlo cruise aboard your luxurious Regent cruise ship to the Italian mainland.

• Day 4: When in Rome
Revel in the many glories of Rome as you see some of the best-known landmarks and antiquities in the “Eternal City,” including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and St. Peter’s Basilica. Have lunch in historic Piazza di Spagna before a guided walking tour takes you to the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Piazza Navona, where you’ll view famous la Fontana del Fiumi (the Fountain of the Four rivers) created by the talented sculptor, Bernini, in 1651. Return to your ship as your cruise continues to Sorrento and enchanting Capri.

• Day 5: The Idyllic Isle of Capri
From Sorrento, be whisked across the water by high-speed hydrofoil to romantic Capri. An open-top convertible awaits to take you to the lovely Gardens of Augustus and the charming town of Anacapri. Admire Villa San Michele, with its museum and gardens.

• Day 6: Mountain Vistas and Colorful Culture
View Mt. Etna as you disembark at Giardini-Naxos on the island of Sicily. Stroll the charming streets within the walls of Taormina, an ancient city set high on a hill. You will see why Taormina, with its traditional beauty, was proclaimed a “patch of paradise.” You can choose to have lunch in town on your own or return to the ship.

Spending a glorious day at sea as your ship cruises toward Turkey will be a cherished memory. • Day 8: A Walk Back in Time
Ephesus is among the best-preserved ancient cities on your Monte Carlo cruise to Athens because, unlike other classical cities, it was abandoned rather than destroyed. Thus, it feels today much as it did at the height of its glory over two thousand years ago. The Library of Celsius, and a visit to the Selçuk Museum are of special note. The 2,500-year-old Greco-Roman amphitheatre, which hosted dramatic and circus performances as well as gladiatorial contests, is so well acoustically designed that a penny dropped on the stage can be heard in the upper-most seating of the huge theatre. Your time exploring ancient Ephesus will be a highlight of your Monte Carlo cruise to Spain.

• Day 9: A Touch of Blue and White in Santorini
You'll board a private tend for the magical island of Santorini today, where the colors of blue and white create a visual impression that will last long after your cruise ends. The Cycladic island of Santorini is known throughout the world for its beautiful beaches, charming villages of whitewashed houses, and many blue-domed churches. Santorini is also known for its reputed role in the disappearance of the lost land of Atlantis when one of the world’s most violent volcanic eruptions occurred around 1650 BC.

Day 10: Monte Carlo cruise to Athens ends in the Olympic City
Welcome to Athens! In 2004, modern-day Athens hosted the Olympic games, thus bringing the tradition of the ancient games begun in 776 BC home to Greece. After disembarking your Regent cruise ship at the port of Piraeus, take a sightseeing tour of this ancient, yet modern, city. You'll get a very good introduction to Grecian cuisine at a cooking demonstration hosted by a local chef. Your hotel in the heart of Athens boasts stunning views of the Acropolis.

Day 11: Amazing Athens
Your exploration of this ancient city continues with a visit to the private Benaki Musem, featuring collections of more than 40,000 objects representing the spectacular history of Greece. The remainder of the day is free to do what you want in Athens. As your France, Italy, Greece and Monte Carlo cruise draws to an end, join us for a farewell cocktail reception and dinner.

Day 12: A Fond Farewell
Monte Carlo cruise ends in Athens. A transfer is included to Athens International Airport as you begin your journey home. We suggest that you allow at least 2 ½ hours for flight check-in formalities.
