Day 2 of our South African adventure is set to be a thrilling day, packed with unique experiences and breathtaking sights in Cape Town! After a delicious 8 am breakfast at the hotel, we'll embark on our journey at 9 am in a luxury air-conditioned bus, ready for a morning on the water.
Our first stop is just a 5-minute drive from the hotel to Three Anchor Bay. Here, we'll launch our kayaks and set off on a memorable 3 – 5 km journey along the Table Bay coastline. The views are unparalleled - Signal Hill, Lion's Head, Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles will provide a stunning backdrop for photos. As we paddle towards Granger Bay or Bantry Bay, keep an eye out for the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens, and the playful Heaviside dolphins!
By noon, we'll be back on the bus, heading to the hotel for a quick shower and regrouping before lunch. Our lunch destination is the charming Kloof Street House in the heart of the city, where a delightful meal awaits, complete with your choice of a half bottle of wine, two soft drinks, or two beers.
At 2 pm, we're off again on a scenic drive to the Table Mountain cable car. Prepare to be amazed by the five-minute ascent to the top of Table Mountain, standing majestically at 1,089 meters above Cape Town. You'll have time to explore the summit and soak in the panoramic views of the city.
After descending, we'll return to the hotel around 4 pm, giving you time to freshen up at your leisure. The evening's highlight is a 6 pm departure for an incredible dinner experience at GOLD Restaurant. This isn't just a meal; it's an immersive African experience. You'll be welcomed with praise singing, enjoy traditional Mali puppetry, and be entertained by the rhythms of marimba percussion and djembe drums. Day 5 of our South African adventure promises a blend of nature, culinary delights, and local culture in the picturesque Franschhoek region. After enjoying breakfast at 8 am at the hotel, we'll board the bus at 9 am, setting off for the enchanting Babylonstoren.
Upon arrival, a guided tour of the gardens awaits, starting at 10 am. An experienced gardener will lead you through this verdant paradise, encouraging you to interact with nature - pick, taste, smell, and touch as you explore. This immersive experience in one of the best-preserved farmyards in the Cape Dutch tradition is not just a tour but a journey through time and nature.
At 12 pm, we'll indulge in a picnic at Table at Meye. Here, the menu is a celebration of local, seasonal produce, supporting local suppliers and organic farming. The day starts with a hearty breakfast at 8 am at the hotel, after which we'll board the bus at 9 am to head to the airport for a direct flight from Cape Town to Skukuza airstrip in Kruger National Park.
Upon arrival at Skukuza, you'll be warmly greeted by representatives from Kruger Shalati, who will facilitate our transfer to the Kruger Shalati safari lodge. This journey to the lodge is an experience in itself, offering the first glimpse of the stunning landscapes and wildlife of Kruger National Park.
We'll arrive at the lodge early in the afternoon, just in time for a delicious lunch provided by the lodge. This will be your opportunity to savor local flavors and culinary delights, all while soaking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness.

Flight Back to Johannesburg: From Skukuza, we'll board a direct flight back to Johannesburg.
