The Castle
The Castle, rich in unspoilt rural splendor and breath-taking artifacts, offers complete respite from the rest of the world. A haven of tranquillity, The Castle features twenty one unique bedrooms – whether your idea of heaven is a romantic boudoir designed with relaxation and privacy in mind or flamboyant room decorated with rich deep colors, there’s a room to suit your tastes.

The Lodge
The Lodge offers a completely different experience to that of The Castle. Complete with 50 guest rooms – each of which remain true to the building’s original structure – and buzzing with activity, there is plenty to keep yourself occupied at the boutique, country house style Lodge.

The Old Stable Mews
For those looking for a self-catering holiday with family and friends there is the luxurious Old Stable Mews. Majestically set within a cut-stone courtyard, the Old Stable Mews offers old world elegance with modern convenience. This old coach house features a collection of two-bedroom mews, which have been restored and refurbished to offer every modern comfort.

Our Executive Chef at Castle Leslie Estate, combines years of Michelin experience and personal passion with some tried and tested delicious recipes of the past. Cleverly re-inventing the Castle Leslie Estate Cook Book – a compilation of dog-eared family recipes dating back for centuries – Our Executive Chef has cleverly stamped a whole new meaning on the expression ‘old meets new’. He and his team cater for all guests’ needs with style and a smile!

During your stay, wander our 1,000 acres of undulating Irish countryside, filled with majestic woodlands and lakes. There are many attractions to see; from the Equestrian Centre and working farm, to the unique flora and fauna and historical sites. These include building ruins, a Gothic Lodge, Walled Garden originating from 1850, the Pinetum, St. Salvator’s Church and an Integrated Wetlands project.
There is a host of outdoor activities to avail of at Castle Leslie Estate including;

Walking
There are a variety of exceptional walks, from short jaunts to long leisurely strolls. Wander throughout the Estate grounds and around the village of Glaslough. Breath in the fresh country air and stunning scenery as you walk throughout the beautiful landscape of our estate. With several walks mapped out, all of which containing stunning scenery, Castle Leslie Estate has something for everyone.
Our Estate walking trails are not open to the public and are private, for our residents and patrons of Castle Leslie Estate only.

Horse Riding
Castle Leslie Estate offers an idyllic setting for outdoor activity and adventure. Catering for intermediate to advanced riders, it is the perfect place to discover the thrill of exploring the beautiful Irish countryside on horseback. We welcome riders of all age groups, as long as you’re over seven! We offer expert tuition, gentle hacks and exhilarating cross-country rides.

Falconry
Experience a unique insight into the noble and ancient art of Falconry which offers a stimulating, unique, and memorable experience. The majestic, beautiful birds are captive bred both in Ireland and abroad. They include different species of falcons, hawks, owls, and the magnificent golden eagle. We have four different packages which you can choose from and bookings can be made 72 hours in advance.

Clay Target Shooting
Experience the thrill of Clay Target Shooting at Castle Leslie Estate. Glenn Ross is an ICPSA accredited Safety Officer and Coach and recognized by An Garda Siochana to carry out gun competency training. He has represented Ireland 11 times at Home International level and once at the World Cup in Rome 2005. He has won the Ulster Open twice and Irish Grand Prix twice in recent years and also has 11 Ulster Inter-Provincial badges, 10 of which are winning badges.

Archery
Test your strength and accuracy to the full in a versatile and competitive sport. Archery won’t disappoint in the entertainment, satisfaction and fun that it offers. Archery is extremely competitive and really gets a group energized quickly. Your qualified instructor will accompany you at all times. All necessary equipment is included.

Picnics
At Castle Leslie Estate, we source our picnic ingredients from our superb local suppliers and prepare it in ways that work al fresco. Think of Irish cheeses, fresh bread, seasonal fruit and vegetables prepared simply and packed carefully. We’ve thoughtfully chosen several idyllic spots for the perfect picnic in our beautiful 1,000-acre Estate. We’ll pack up the most perfect picnics for you to enjoy and leave you to it.

Fishing
The Leslie family have been the custodians of the stunning ‘Glaslough’ or Green Lake for generations. The lake is brimming with monster pike, and fishermen widely consider it to be one of Ireland’s best preserved loughs. In fact, in 1991 a fisherman reeled in a catch weighing 38lb 9oz (17.5kg) and broke Ireland’s 18 year record. Fishing is charged per rod (person) per day and includes the use of a boat.

Boating
Enjoy a morning or afternoon boating on our glistening Glaslough Lake or ‘Green Lake’. While away the hours by relaxing on one of our boats and admire the stunning scenery all around you including our ancient woodlands, gardens and of course our beautiful Castle.

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
Journey back in time on an enchanting carriage ride through the tree-lined avenues and bridleways, sit back and be charmed by what awaits you on your personal tour of the most beautiful areas of the Estate. Our Stately horse and experienced driver make this jaunt a perfect way to enhance a visit to the Estate.

Events
With our 1,000 acres, woodlands, lakes and variety of onsite facilities and estate activities you are spoilt for choice to think, brainstorm and team build.
Choose between the majestic Castle setting, the more traditional Lodge facilities or the seclusion of the Old Stable Mews. We cater for delegates from 2 to 280 and for gala dinner events of up to 260 guests in our Pavilion marquee.
