Upon arrival at (OPO) Porto International Airport, our group private transfer will be waiting after customs to take us to our hotel, The Five Star, Lodge Wine and Business Hotel.

From the Sea to the Market - the way for fresh fish from the Atlantic to your plate!
Dive into Portugal's maritime heritage in an immersion activity in a traditional fishing village in Porto where they still use fishing techniques that have been around for hundreds of years! A unique experience in Northern Portugal!
An extensive oceanic frontier and the geographical location of Portugal made the Portuguese great consumers and masters of fishing. This art has left us traces since the period of occupation of the Iberian Peninsula by the Romans, where the fishing industry reached great perfection until today.
Recognizing the extreme historical and cultural importance of this art, we will take you through the entire process, from catching the fish to your plate. We will have a particular and unique experience in a small fishing community, where we will have the opportunity to interact with the locals when the boats arrive, in their small workshops full of accessories that, by themselves, tell stories. Visit and Wine Tasting at Cockburn’s Port Lodge
Cockburn's cellars, considered by many to be the most beautiful cellars in Vila Nova da Gaia, are one of Porto's must-see historical sites. Here, the best batches of Cockburn's Port Wine age in oak casks and rafters, many over a hundred years old.
The famous central avenue, which crosses the basement, stands out for its typically Portuguese black and white basalt pavement, proudly displaying the “rooster and crown”, symbol of the company.
Cockburn's was founded in 1815 by Robert Cockburn, a Scottish soldier who fought in Portugal during the Peninsular War. Today, this secular company belongs to the Symington family, Port winemakers for over 125 years.

The Douro River and all its surroundings lead us to true relics of northern Portugal. Come with us on a trip to the main sights in the history of this region. From Porto, where the river flows into the sea, then through the magnificent lands where Douro wines are produced, you will be able to watch a cultural and landscape scenery, listed as a World Heritage site.

Visit and Wine Tasting at Quinta do Seixo, Superior Wines
The view from Quinta do Seixo offers a magnificent landscape, shaped by man in shale terraces and terraces, in a surprising contrast with the brightness of the Douro River and the view of the picturesque village of Pinhão, very close by. The vineyard, which is over 100 years old, is a true heritage of several traditional Douro varieties, it continues to withstand the harshest conditions and temperatures and produces unique wines of superior quality. Here, fermentation takes place in a process that combines the best of tradition with the most advanced technology.
Visit and Wine Tasting at Quinta do Bomfim
Quinta do Bomfim is a beautiful property in the Douro valley and represents the nucleus of the best Port Wines of the company, constituting the basic structure of Dow’s Vintages since its acquisition in 1896. Its situation, in the center of the best wine area , offers a perfect balance for the production of great wines. A few minutes from the train station and the Pinhão river pier, Quinta do Bomfim offers unique moments of proximity to the river with the stunning vineyard landscape around.
Best of Wine Tourism Award 2017
The award now won was awarded by Great Wine Capitals, an association that brings together nine of the most important wine regions in the world: Adelaide, Bilbao, Bordeaux, Cape Town, Mainz, Mendoza, Porto, San Francisco and Valparaíso.
In the Douro and Porto regions alone, 28 valid and high quality applications were registered. Quinta do Bomfim was, at a first stage, distinguished at national level and, already during the month of November, in a ceremony held in Porto was elected Global Winner.
Quinta do Bomfim is recognized as the property where «some of the best Vintage Ports in the region were born, including the legendary Dow's 2007 - the only Port Wine of this century that was awarded 100 points by the Wine Spectator .

Further north, Coimbra, where one of the oldest universities in the world is located, is known as the city of Students and Lovers. Crossed by the Mondego River and a touch of History through its magnificent monuments, it is a history lesson not to be missed. The mythical Cathedral is an emblematic monument and one of the most important Romanesque buildings in the country. As well as the Historic Center of the City, through the narrow streets that hide the love stories of thousands of students, and where between aqueducts and gardens, we also let ourselves fall in love with all the surroundings.
Fátima is one of the greatest exponents of the Marian cult worldwide. Its Sanctuary, built around the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to the three little shepherds, is visited by thousands of devotees every year, including pilgrims who intend to pay their promises. The image of Senhora was built by a pilgrim in 1919.

Winemaker for one day at Quinta Casal de Santa Maria: The Most Western Vineyards in Europe
The history of this farm dates back to the beginning of the 18th century. The main house was built in 1720 and surprisingly managed to survive the 1755 earthquake, due to the granite structure of the Serra de Sintra. In 1903, it stopped producing wine, but 100 years later, the "most western vineyards in Europe" were replanted and the winery modernized.
Casal de Santa Maria wines are the result of the expression of Nature and the unique terroir that surrounds the vineyards, which are located on the coastline of the Serra de Sintra.
There you'll have a workshop for being oenologist during one day. You can participate in a blending activity to create your own wine. Take advantage of all the necessary equipment and guidance at your disposal, which will allow you to master the challenge of creating your own mix. This Bottle Blending Workshop is the first step of our 'The Winemaker Experience', which gives you the opportunity to go from being a wine lover to a true winemaker.
Visit to Monserrate Palace and Picnic in the Garden
The Palace of Monserrate is one of the most beautiful architectural and landscape creations of Romanticism in Portugal: the Park and Palace of Monserrate, unique testimonies of the 19th century ecclesiastics. The Palace combines Gothic, Indian and Moorish influences, as well as exotic and plant motifs that harmoniously extend to the exterior. The gardens received species from all over the world and were organized by geographic areas.
In this park of great English inspiration, the palace merges with one of the richest botanical gardens in Portugal and the romantic atmosphere is reflected in the exotic trees, waterfalls and lakes.
